Big Shift
Big Shift provides tailored support to help you thrive in your first leadership role.
Gear Shift
Gear Shift helps you quickly adapt to new challenges and responsibilities with focus.
Small Shift
Small Shift offers targeted coaching for everyday work challenges to drive progress.
BIG SHIFT
Empowering Your Transition into Leadership with Big Shift
Who's it for?
My flagship service for those individuals who are either about to or have just gone into a leadership position for the first time: where the role and remit outstrips anything they’ve seen before in expectation, ambition and output and a period of reflection, honesty, action and adjustment is needed.
Where's the value?
You’re never more invested in making a success of new roles than you are those first three months – and never more so in a leadership position where the stakes are raised. This service capitalises on this energy and opportunity and provides a safe, powerful thinking and challenge space to face into the in a way that sets both the individual and the business up for success.
How does it work?
The programme is three months in duration and consists of 6, 1-hour sessions (usually face to face or audio calls) to be held fortnightly. Full confidentiality and the highest ethical standards are observed over this time (see the ICF Code of Ethics I adhere to).
GEAR SHIFT
Realigning for Success After Change with Gear Shift
Who's it for?
This is a more tactical, speedy and pragmatic service for those whose role has shifted in shape or focus as a result of change, restructure or other business priorities. This service allows for a purposeful explore around what needs to alter and where – to work for both parties – so that individuals can quickly align and focus behind the change.
Where's the value?
Often just allowing a short and sharp intervention to re-focus energies and gain some clarity on what is next is all that is needed. And that is where the Gear Shift comes in. Practically focused, it aims to swiftly identify what’s needed with priority given to action and implementation to make a difference fast.
How does it work?
One month in duration, I meet with client’s weekly (4 sessions in total) for 45 minutes (audio calls normally) to focus on a specific area with the onus on exploring, clarifying and acting on what’s identified.
As with Big Shift, I work with my individual client and their sponsor prior to starting to agree broad areas for growth and then work in full, transparent partnership with my clients to achieve their goals – with all the same confidentialities applying.
SMALL SHIFT
Targeted Coaching for Immediate Solutions with Small Shift
Who's it for?
This is designed for those who aren’t facing into bigger or structural changes in their professional lives but who benefit from regular, pragmatic coaching around specific issues or concerns. This is for people of any level, at any stage, and for any professional reason to share and have a space to work through particular challenges.
For businesses, it opens up coaching to more people, more regularly, as part of the normal business rhythm.
Where's the value?
A problem unblocked or a new perspective achieved can nip something in the bud quickly and easily – or at least progress it towards a conclusion or answer. While this doesn’t require a long programme of sessions to support it, it packs a punch in being a discrete, pragmatic outlet with an objective party to maintain progress and momentum for the individual and the business by working through everyday work problems.
How does it work?
Businesses buy a day of my time – typically monthly – where 5, 45 minute slots are available to book. These sessions are held onsite at client businesses, with slots booked by individuals in advance. Sessions are fully confidential, action-focused and typified by practical steps the individual can take away and implement comfortably.
Got any questions? We’re here to help
No, they’re very different. Mentoring is advising you based on previous experiences and knowledge whereas coaching is all about allowing space, asking questions of you and maximising awareness for you to arrive at your own conclusions. You do the work, I facilitate your thinking.
Not one bit. In fact, it’s often better that way. My job isn’t to advise you. My job is to listen, understand what’s important to you and help you navigate your way to your own solutions. Expertise in your challenges doesn’t even come into it.
You certainly can, but having someone objective to listen, challenge you and hold you to account is even better.
You’ll know by the clarity you have, the awareness you build, and the reflections you come to. Often coaching sessions themselves merely ignite the thinking, it’s what happens in the days and weeks that follow where the impact is really felt.
There are. But I’ve been trained to the highest standards, am internally accredited by the most prestigious and rigorous global body (the ICF) and have the benefit of nearly two decades leading people in diverse, dynamic businesses. I bring this experience to bear in the trust and relationships I build with my clients as well as the energy and positivity of the working environment we create together.
